Famed film director Guillermo del Toro has entered a multi-year deal with game developer THQ Inc. to create a new game franchise called inSANE, which will be a trilogy of triple-A games. Del Toro, who’s known for his visually stunning work with Hellboy and the Oscar-winning Pan’s Labyrinth, will lend his terrifying style to the video game industry to present “an unprecedented cinematic experience while redefining storytelling in gaming.”
Del Toro will act as an external creative director and work closely with THQ Executive Vice President, Core Games Danny Bilson and THQ Director of Fiction Development Paul DeMeo.
The first of the three inSANE games can be expected in 2013.
