Karen Black July 1, 1939 – August 8, 2013 was an Academy Award-nominated American actress known for her appearances in such films as Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, The Great Gatsby, Rhinoceros, The Day of the Locust, Nashville, and Alfred Hitchcock’s final film, Family Plot & Trilogy of Terror.

This is one of her final interviews, which was conducted by filmmaker Jennifer Elster, who is the director of Karen Black’s upcoming feature film A Walk in the Woods with Karen Black from the film series collectively entitled The Being Experience. Elster was a close friend of Black.
