As a sometime Web developer, it’s important to me to make sure that my site looks as good as I can make it and uniform across as many browsers as my visitors use. The two leading browsers in use are Firefox and Internet Explorer. While I don’t mind coding for both of them, there comes a time when I just need to ask for help.

If you are still using Internet Explorer 6, please upgrade your browser! It’ll save me and a million other Web developers the headache of making sure things look like right for that ancient program.

I highly recommend downloading Firefox, mainly because it plays well with Cascading Style Sheets, which is the new standard for Web design. More than that, you’ll enjoy the in-browser dictionary and wide array of useful plug-ins, like weather forecasts, dictionary tooltips and Internet security features. Plus, call me crazy, but I feel like Web pages load faster, too. Do the Internet a favor and download this program today.

But, if you must remain a Microsoft purist, then at least upgrade to the latest version of their browser. It’s a little clunky for my tastes, but at least it’s one step closer to CSS functionality. You’ll also enjoy the built-in search engines and whatnot. Just upgrade already, will ya?

Thanks!
