Upcoming Screening: Ninja Assassin
Whenever a high-profile Warner Bros. movie comes down the pipeline at Buzzine I always jump up on it, because the WB usually secures a big theater to screen it. This time around it’s going to be held at Grauman’s Chinese at the Hollywood and Highland Center. You know, I go there so often it’s starting to feel like my personal stomping grounds. While I’ve screened films at Grauman’s before, I’ve never had the privilege of watching them on the main screen, which I’m told is pretty overwhelming. Here’s to hoping that I get to experience the real deal.
I’m sure you’ve seen some marketing for this film already, so there’s no need to dig up the synopsis. I’m sure you can get the gist from the trailer. Underestimated kid proves his worth in a super-secret clan of ninjas, is betrayed and loses someone close to him, seeks revenge and does a whole lot of killing. What’s not to like?
I’m not sure if this is strictly media only or if tickets have been given out as prizes for radio shows and Web site contests. When I screened Orphan they had JACK-FM there giving away swag and I had to watch the film with the public. I’ll let you know how it goes.
