Spaggi

Henry is a great guy. Your review of his food is accurate. He is spread too thin. If he were to reduce the number of items and go to middle of the road pricing his sales would go through the roof. His wine prices are way to high as well. Again his sales would soar with more reasonable pricing. High profit on smaller sales especially with current economic pressure is a tough way to make it. I love Henry and I make a good living, but I will not pay his prices for his food. Get real and get rich with his personality.

I don't know what his problem is, I like Del Taco. You forgot the chocolate milkshakes are pretty good too.

#2 alfredo:

Spaggi’s is not a bad restaurant if we take the entire scope of restaurants; it’s just not quite fine dining. If you’ve never eaten at a fine dining establishment then this might be a moot point. I would recommend eating at Tutti Mangia in Claremont first and then eating at Spaggi’s. All things being equal, I think you’ll notice a marked difference. The food is fine at Spaggi’s. Most likely, you won’t dislike the taste. Does the food justify the prices? I don’t think so. It all comes down to value. Spaggi’s is a decent restaurant, but you can get truly fine dining service and ambience for a smaller bill if you’re willing to drive just a bit farther.

That is hilarious! Good Job.

My response would not have been as nice as yours but to each their own. I would have pointed out the numerous typos!

Hi Rene,

I was thinking of taking my family over to this restaurant and even recommended some friends and church members based on other reviews from other sites. Now I am having second thoughts. I felt that your review was honest enough. Just wondering if there is anything good that I would be able to experience (hoping good food) so that I would not be ashamed when I see my friends after their experience. I wonder what the owner has to say about this but sure hope they took your review constructively as an oppurtunity for improvement would correct whatever is necessary. Thanks again.

Excellent response, Rene. I'm afraid I might not have been so gracious. You showed class.
